A commercial roof and a residential roof may seem alike. However, they are both different from each other and, any damage to either of them is usually expensive to repair. Furthermore, the roofing materials for commercial and residential roofs vary, a commercial roof has a flat slope and a residential roof is steeper. Furthermore, a commercial roof has a low slope (entirely flat) than a typical residential roof. Moreover, a flat roof requires frequent maintenance and repairs.

Why Paint a Commercial Roof?
Usually, faded roofs detract from your business building appearance. Commercial roofs are in use quietly and tirelessly (365, days, for many years), and exposed to weather, sunlight, pollution, and rain. The exposure corrodes your commercial roof resulting in a hotter working environment and higher energy bills. Certainly, if a commercial roof sheet is not painted, it becomes weak, perforates and leaks, subsequently leading to costly damage to equipment’s, operations and safety hazards. Repainting your commercial roof adds value to your industry or warehouse.

As we all know the summer season is the hottest among the rest of all four seasons, and also the rainy season as well. Heat and rainfall have great effects on paint, how it dries, how it's absorbed into wood or walls. In most cases, there is always the potential delay in house painting during the summer.

However, irrespective that house painting in the summer is challenging, it is still achievable. On a positive note, there are ways to go about house painting this season and before you get started, consult a professional painter to get the job done for you.

House painting in hot seasons can be uncomfortable. There are tricks needed to be done to get the best finish for your house for an attractive and long-lasting paint job. Continue reading this article and get useful tips concerning house painting in the summer.
Painting in Heat
The weather in the summer seasons is most likely to fluctuate. The best temperature to paint is between 70 degrees with 50% humidity. Since you cannot control the temperature in the summer season, you can try out some ideas as you plan your summer painting.

For your interior house painting during the hot weather, the warm weather will help dry the interior quickly and consistently.

In some areas where the weather is completely humid, you can paint your house early in the morning or late in the evenings. Otherwise get a fan to reduce the humidity to a low level or go for dehumidifier if it is taking a long time to dry up.

In addition, the exterior walls might take a longer time to dry because more often than not, the exterior of a house is cooler than the interior walls. Consequently, it takes more time for the walls paint to cure.

The summer season isn't the best time to paint exterior walls unless you're a trained and experienced painter. Notably, increasing the ideal temperature higher than normal will dry the paint quickly, and not allow for proper cure. This could result in the paint coming off quickly as a result of blistering and peeling.
Summer House Painting
It is not advisable to paint the exterior of your house shortly after it rained. It will take the exterior wall of any house at least one to two days to completely dry depending on the make of the wall.

Overall, to get the best painting in the summer, it is advisable you hire a painting service of professional painters. You wouldn’t want all your effort put in painting your house go down the drain. Make the best decision by consulting the Jacksonville Painting Company – Licensed and insured painting professionals who understand and apply knowledge in the different type of paintings in all seasons.

Each of home décor elements – structure, texture, visual composition, and color makes a great impact on the home’s appeal. If you want to improve your home aesthetics or you are planning or sell it, paint color is unarguably the most overriding factor that can create an emotional bias.

Knowing the best way to design with color is a rare skill that just a few Jacksonville painters possess. How to create a color palette for an entire home is one of the crucial decisions that experienced painters in Jacksonville can help come up with the perfect solutions.

Home color choices are seriously influenced by the human mood. However, when planning to design with color, it is best to see beyond the mood aspect. Irrespective of the present situation, paint colors that portray safety, tradition, and comfort should be on top of the list.
Interior Painting
As a result, the neutrals such as whites, off-whites, beiges, and greys would be the first choice for the interior painting. Meanwhile, the pops of bright colors such as acid yellow and crimson portray the hopefulness about the future.

While planning the color palette for the interior décor of the home, the color strokes could show in all items in the home from accent rugs to lamp bases, vases, throw pillows, and fabrics. Make the dining room the focal point of attention with a grey palette with white accents; have the table set in coral red, hues of violet, blue, green or yellow.

Note that neutrals do not indicate ‘no color.’ Neutrals could be grays, tans, whites, greens, and blues.

To create an impressive design with color, contact painters in Jacksonville; they are professional painters that specialize in house painting to create the visual and emotional effect you desire. They have several samples that can help you get inspired by your unique color palette. CONTRASTING PAINT COLORS

5/13/2018

When two colors are from different segments of the color wheel they are called contrasting colors. They are also defined as colors that are opposite to each other. They are also referred to as clashing colors. For example, red is from the warm half of the color wheel and blue is from the cool half wheel. Therefore they are contrasting colors. Understanding these fundamentals is important with interior painting.
Painting Service
In color theory, precise definitions for contrasting and complementary colors and how they appear on the color wheel have been explained. In graphic design, colors don’t have to be direct opposites for them to be regarded as complementary or contrasting colors.

It’s more about perception and feeling. Where there are more transitional colors separating two colors the contrast is greater. For instance, orange and magenta are not as high contrast as a pair of magenta and green or magenta and yellow.
Paint Colors
Colors can be categorized into warm and complementary colors.
Warm colors: warm colors include red, orange, yellows- advance, while cool colors include blues and variations and recede black.
Complementary colors: blue and orange, yellow and purple, green and red.
When colors are directly opposite from one another they are said to clash, however, it is not a bad thing. Most all of these clashing colors are quite pleasing.
Contrast in color
“When we survey the characteristics of color effects, we can detect seven different kinds of contrast. Each unique in character and artistic value, in visual, expressive and symbolic effect; and together they constitute the fundamental resource of color design” (Johannes Itten, 2015).

Johannes was one of the pioneers who identified and defined strategies for successful color combination and contrast. Through Johannes hard work and research, he devised seven methods for coordinating colors by using the hue’s contrasting properties.

In order to become a better graphic designer, you must learn and practice all the color contrasts. The color contrasts he researched on include: the light-dark contrast, the cold-warm contrast, the complementary contrast, the simultaneous contrast, the contrast of quantity and the pure color (hue) color contrast.

What is the value of contrast in colors?
Some of the contrasts in colors are the dark areas advance; the light areas hang back or recede. Dark areas also have a lot more weight in terms of balance. High contrast between dark and light colors is dramatic, while similar shades of gray produce a very calm and light effect.  If you wish to emphasize the light element, place it upon dark. Also, if you want to emphasize a dark element, do vice-versa.
Interior Paint Color
In conclusion, if you are new to contrasting colors, keep the color scheme simple, conservative, and conventional. Use calm shades of natural colors. Avoid bold primary colors or highly saturated except in areas of complete emphasis. Even then, use with maximum caution. As a beginner, choose colors to paint  that reside in the same quadrant of the color wheel, in order words, select colors from an analogous palette. For best results, make sure all the rules in contrasting colors are kept.
